Walking from Culatra to Farol only to find that everything was closed (out of season), it was like a ghost town. It did give us a chance to wander around the village and what a fabulous quirky garden…Full review by johnhp702

Apart from a great beach bar, I am not sure that I would visit Farol out of season. There is not much to see and on a cool October day not much enthusiasm for swimming or staying on a beach.Full review by James G

Lovely little island, beach spacious and clean, little bars dotted along. Will definitely return. Ferry crossing 30 mins and very calm.Full review by DoDommu
Can somebody please give me the location of where to catch this ferry from Olhao to Ilha do Farol? Is it the 'Port' opposite the Marina Hotel, or is it at the other end of the strip where all the boat tours are?? Many thanks
