I’m not sure for Spring. I can’t see it being any better as the surrounding area is overgrown and dangerous with human waste littering the walk to the waterfall. It’s a shame this place since the fire has been neglected. I doubt I will be taking my children back to this place next year as it’s been shamefully neglected ☹️

Not as far as I know. We hired a car for the duration of our holiday. You might be able to get a bus from Tavira to Malhao, but that would leave a walk of a couple of km. …

Not as far as I know. We hired a car for the duration of our holiday. You might be able to get a bus from Tavira to Malhao, but that would leave a walk of a couple of km. Alternatively you could hire a bike in Tavira -- it's just over 8km from the town on mostly flattish and quiet roads.
