Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Aaron Civale is moving to a bullpen role for the first time in his seven-year career. One day after the Brewers announced they were shifting him to the bullpen to make room for flame-throwing prospect Jacob Misiorowski in the rotation,
Misiorowski, born in Blue Springs, grew up in Grain Valley. He is ranked No. 68 in MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects list. He is the No. 4 prospect in the Brewers organization. As a graduate of Grain Valley HS, Misiorowski earned All-State honors after posting a 9–2 record with a 1.48 ERA in his junior season (2019).
If there’s not a spot for him in the Brewers’ rotation, then Aaron Civale wants out. The veteran asked for a trade following his demotion to the bullpen to accommodate the recent promotion of top-100 prospect Jacob Misiorowski, as first reported by The Athletic and confirmed by The Post.
