Bo Bichette is willing to make a big change for interested teams
Bo Bichette is open to shifting from 6 to 4. The free agent shortstop Bichette has begun to tell interested MLB teams that he is willing to move to second base, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reported on Wednesday.
Both Albies and Bichette feature All-Star ceilings. They are close in age as well, as Bichette is 27 and Albies is 28. Bichette has performed at a high level in recent years, while Albies has not been an All-Star since 2023, however.
Buxton signed a seven-year, $100 million deal in 2021. When healthy, he is one of the best outfielders in baseball. Adding a player like Buxton would give the Yankees another superstar in the outfield. Haringey went on to say that adding Buxton would eliminate the need to sign Cody Bellinger or Kyle Tucker.
Bo Bichette, who was on the Blue Jays team that lost to the Dodgers in the World Series, appears to be embracing a new outlook on his free agency. Bichette has been a shortstop his whole career, but the consensus is that he'll eventually have to move off of that position.
