Brewers' winning streak snapped at 14 as Reds' walk-off gives Milwaukee its first loss of August
For the first time since July 30, the Milwaukee Brewers have lost a game. The Cincinnati Reds finally got the job done in toppling the beast that the Brewers have become on Sunday afternoon, though it took a late charge and extra innings to do so with a 3-2 win.

Reds end Brewers’ franchise-record, 14-game winning streak on Hays’ bases-loaded hit in 10th
Milwaukee had barely pulled out the previous two games in Cincinnati for its longest streak ever within one season and the longest in the majors since the St. Louis Cardinals won 17 straight from Sept.
Nowadays Milwaukee is in the NL Central, and 87 wins is often good enough for at least a wild card. Of course, this year's team can set its sights much higher. Even after their winning streak was snapped Sunday, the Brewers are 33 games over .500. They need to go just 19-20 the rest of the way to set a franchise record with 97 victories.
The Brewers beat the Reds, 6-5, for a franchise-record 14th-straight victory Aug. 16 with help from a 3-run homer by Andruw Monasterio in the 11th.
