Charles Schwab beat forecasts for earnings and revenue, and shares traded at a record high. The discount brokerage and investment firm posted big gains in trading revenue and net interest income, and total client assets reached an all-time high of $10.76 trillion.

The Charles Schwab Corporation came out with quarterly earnings of $1.14 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.09 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.73 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.
