More cold is in store for Central Floridians. High temperatures will only reach the 50s, according to NWS Melbourne. The skies, however, will be sunnier than the previous two days. Northern Lake and inland Volusia counties have a freeze warning until 9 a.

The Action News Jax First Alert Weather Team said there is a freeze warning in effect for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia until 4 a.m. Saturday.

Parts of northwest Central Florida will be under a Freeze Warning this weekend, with early Saturday morning bringing the possibility of patchy frost as temperatures are forecast to drop to or below freezing in some areas.

After one more extremely cold night, temperatures are expected to be near 60 degrees for the start of Saturday's big race.

The First Alert Weather team forecasts another cold night with lows in the 20s inland to 30-35 at the coast. Some re-freezing or black ice will be possible, especially north & northwest of Jacksonville where more frozen precipitation occurred.
