A 3-year-old boy has died of injuries in the massive explosion of fireworks at a home in Honolulu on New Year's Eve.

A 3-year-old boy died Monday of injuries suffered in a massive fireworks explosion on New Year’s Eve in Salt Lake, according to the Honolulu Police Department. He is the fourth person to die in the incident, which also injured around 24 others, many critically.

A series of explosions caused by fireworks in a residential area left more than two dozen people with burns and other injuries, officials said.

The blast in Honolulu, Hawaii, killed three women and a young boy and injured more than 20 people, many of whom have burns over most of their bodies
