The Seattle Mariners are still holding a grudge against the unidentified voter who left Ichiro Suzuki off their Hall of Fame ballot. The Mariners held a ceremony before Saturday’s game to retire Ichiro’s number following his recent induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Ichiro chose Sunday to break out a witty speech in English in front of a crowd of thousands of fans wearing his No. 51 Mariners jersey.

Dave Parker, who died a month before he was to be inducted, and Dick Allen got into the Hall posthumously after being voted in by the classics committee.
