U.S. ski racing legend Lindsey Vonn's beloved dog Leo died a day after she crashed at the Milan-Cortina Olympics. Vonn was scheduled for more surgery on her leg Wednesday.

Vonn wrote that she said goodbye to Leo, who was with her for 13 years, from her hospital bed a day after her devastating crash.

Just days before getting set to compete in the Winter Olympics, United States star skier Lindsey Vonn suffered a torn ACL in training. She didn't let that keep her from competing, though, and was among the top qualifiers heading into her first event before disaster struck.

The sibling filmed evidence of the perks not covered on a health plan.

Shiffrin took home the top prize in her best event on Wednesday.
