NFL preseason game between Detroit and Atlanta stopped after serious injury - Detroit safety Morice Norris was attended to for about 20 minutes and taken off the field in an ambulance during the Lions

On Friday, Aug. 8, Lions player Morice Norris Jr. was attempting to tackle Falcons running back Nathan Carter when he suffered injuries to the head and neck area. At the time, the Lions were leading 17-10 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the NFL and Sky Sports reported.

Emory Jones took one snap after Morice Norris was taken off the field by ambulance, though the snap does not appear in the official gamebook.
