The University of South Carolina baseball team fell in both ends of a doubleheader to No. 8 Auburn Friday (May 9) at Plainsman Park. The Gamecocks lost game one, 11-10, on a walk-off squeeze bunt and lost 11-3 in the second game.

Auburn delivered a picture-perfect squeeze bunt to walk off South Carolina and claim the series for the Tigers.

The Tigers are coming off a series win over the Tennessee Volunteers. Auburn is currently 33-15 overall and 13-11 in the SEC. They are tied with Alabama for seventh place in the conference. The Gamecocks are 26-23 and are No. 15 in the SEC with a 5-19 record.

The No. 14/12 South Carolina (40-15) softball team fell to No. 1/1 Texas A&M (44-9) 12-4 in five innings Thursday night (May 8) in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. The Gamecocks jumped out to an early lead in the top of the second.
