Paramount is considering taking an offer straight to WBD shareholders, believing its deal has a better chance of gaining regulatory approval, sources told CNBC.

Netflix has made a mostly cash offer to purchase the Warner Bros. studio and HBO Max, while Paramount has submitted an all-cash bid for the entire company, The Post previously reported.

On Friday morning, it was announced that Netflix was set to acquire Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) for a Total Enterprise Value of $82.7 Billion. While it is unclear how, or if, this acquisition, whenever it becomes official, will affect the wrestling world, Netflix is a partner of WWE, and WBD is an AEW partner.

Bloomberg reports Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD 0.12%) has entered exclusive talks with Netflix ( NFLX 0.71%) to sell the film, TV studio and streaming divisions, with a deal possible within days. The former's shares slipped over 1% in pre-market trading, while Netflix stock edged down around 0.5%.

“A deal that is in the interest of SAG-AFTRA members and all other workers in the entertainment industry must result in more creation and more production, not less,” the actors’ union’s statement read. “It must do so in an environment of respect for the talent involved.”
