TUSCALOOSA, AL − Tennessee basketball finally secured its first true road win of the season with a 79-73 victory over Alabama. The unranked Vols (13-6, 3-3 SEC) pulled out a close, gritty win over the No. 17 Crimson Tide (13-5, 3-2) at Coleman Coliseum on Jan. 24

Auburn basketball‘s 76-67 upset win — on the road no less — against No. 16 Florida had lots of little factoids attached to it. The Tigers are now 4-6 against Quad I opponents. That’s important because the people who hole up in rooms in the middle or March want the number of the left to be bigger than the one on the right.
