A winter storm is expected to bring the Chicago area its heaviest snowfall in more than two years, with a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 3 a.m. Saturday through Sunday morning.
O'Hare saw 8.4 inches of snow on Saturday, making it the snowiest November day in Chicago's recorded history, according to the NWS. Wadsworth saw 11 inches of snow; Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Skokie and Valparaiso, Indiana had snow totals near 10 inches.
While the bulk of a winter storm has concluded, a winter weather advisory remains in effect across most of the Chicago area.

Chicago weather: Snowfall tapers off leaving cloudy, cold conditions
Yesterday’s record snowfall was tapering off throughout Sunday morning as the Winter Weather Advisory was still in effect.
Chicago is under a winter storm warning. Heavy snow forecasted to impact travel. Significant snowfall rates are anticipated this afternoon and evening, leading to hazardous conditions.
Snow will continue overnight before tapering off early Sunday. Another 2-4” is possible, along with wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Light snow showers are expected again around sunrise Sunday.
Temperatures in the Chicago area are forecast to dip into the 30s starting Wednesday, and wind chills could fall to a low of 6 degrees Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast for the Philadelphia Eagles' pivotal clash against the Chicago Bears on Friday is calling for ice-cold conditions.
Following Tuesday's cold front, cold air will wrap into the region, sending temperatures into the 30s on Wednesday. Westerly winds will gust to 40-45 mph, resulting in daytime windchills only in the 20s, likely dropping to the teens at night.
