The poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research was conducted Jan. 8-11, after Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s capture. It found that 56% of U.S. adults think Trump has overstepped on military interventions abroad.

Another poll, by California-based pollster Civiqs, shows similar numbers: In that survey, Idaho voters have a 57% approval rating of Trump while 38% of registered voters disapprove of his performance. That’s down somewhat from a 65% approval rating and 31% disapproval when Trump first took office, according to Civiqs.

Independents have leaned more Democratic over the past year, Gallup reported, even as their overall view of the party remains lukewarm.
