There’s been plenty of discussion over whether Netflix would go for a Sunday afternoon NFL parcel of games, but it appears the answer is no. Roger Goodell is doing his best to get media companies fired up about a renewed pursuit of NFL rights.

Many football fans are scrambling to find out how to watch NFL RedZone for free this week with Streameast, Crackstreams, Methstreams and so many other free live sports streaming websites now down for good.

Via Dade Hayes of Deadline.com, Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters said during an appearance at the Bloomberg Screentime conference that the company is unlikely to make a bid for the next set of broadcast rights, which are expected to become available as of 2030. “ It doesn’t really fit with our strategy ,” Peters said. “We want to be disciplined.”
