During Artemis II’s launch to the moon, its’ Orion spacecraft captured rare and beautiful footage of Earth. The videos were taken while the space craft was no longer in Earth’s orbit.
The Artemis II crew broke the record for the farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth, breaking a record of 248,655 miles set by Apollo 13 in 1970. Jeremy Hansen responded to congratulations from NASA's Mission Control Center that he hoped the record "is not long-lived,
