Heavier rain is possible along the coast of Mississippi and into southwest Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. The chance for some rain falling on Halloween night in places such as Mobile, Ala., and Pensacola, Fla., is moderate to high.

From the Halloween weekend rain system, the area with the most rainfall was southwest Middle Tennessee. The area with the least was south-central Kentucky and the Upper Cumberland Plateau. A massive cross-country storm is set to impact more than 35 states, bringing severe weather, heavy rain and strong winds across the Central and Southern Plains before moving toward the East Coast later this week.
