Cluster of earthquakes strike San Ramon on Saturday night
SAN RAMON, Calif. - A pair of earthquakes with an epicenter in San Ramon rumbled the Bay Area on Saturday evening. The first quake struck about 6:32 p.m., and was measured at a 3.9 magnitude with a depth of about 3.1 miles, according to the US Geological Survey.
Did you feel it? An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.9 struck southeast of San Ramon at 6:31 p.m. Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
A swarm of at least a dozen earthquakes reaching up to magnitude 3.9 rattled San Ramon near San Francisco, the U.S. Geological Survey reports. The other quakes in the Saturday, Dec. 21, swarm ranged from magnitude 1.3 to 3.0, according to the USGS.
