Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears, Live Updates: Bears win behind three Caleb Williams TD passes
BEARS 24, STEELERS 21: After forcing the Steelers to punt on the first drive of the second half, the Bears drove 60 yards on five plays to go back in front. Caleb Williams completed all five passes he threw on the drive, capping it with a 25-yard scoring pass to DJ Moore with 8:33 left in the third quarter.
Caleb Williams threw for three touchdowns, and the Bears beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-28 in a matchup of division leaders on Sunday with Chicago's old nemesis, Aaron Rodgers, sidelined by a broken left wrist.
When the Bears got the ball back without allowing the Steelers to answer the second DJ Moore touchdown, Kyle Monangai punched it in for six points, which all but sealed the victory for the Bears. The defense made a couple of nice plays late in the game, but this touchdown was needed as it eventually served as the winning points.
Pittsburgh's offensive line bullied the Bears on Sunday — opening up rushing lanes for Gainwell and Jaylen Warren throughout the Week 12 matchup. If the Steelers’ o-line can keep up the momentum, the offense might be able to hang with any team in the league.
Aaron Rodgers didn't play in Sunday's Steelers-Bears game in Chicago due to a left wrist injury but he was healthy enough to make some news before kickoff as he was seen flipping off some cameras while walking around Soldier Field.
After the Bears quarterback gained eight yards up the left sideline, he was shoved out of bounds by Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The hit was made along the Bears’ sideline and started a skirmish, with Bears cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson grabbing Ramsey’s jersey and Bears players yapping at the Steelers cornerback.
Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt had a strip sack on Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams on Sunday, helping him become the new family leader.
While the Steelers' secondary struggled against chunk plays early in the season, the overall defense has looked much improved since Jalen Ramsey and Kyle Dugger took over as the starting safety duo in the backfield — a tandem that's arguably been the best in league.
In a recent interview, a legendary Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker ripped the team's coaches apart for their poor offensive and defensive strategy.
