One person was detained after a man was shot and killed Thursday afternoon, according to the Tampa Police Department.

A Tampa man was arrested Tuesday after he was accused of shooting a pregnant woman in the abdomen while she was sleeping.

A convicted felon with a history of violent crime is back in custody following an arrest by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) and the U.S. Marshals Task Force related to a September shooting in Tampa.

The man charged in a deadly road rage shooting was denied bond Monday. Joel Moreno Cobo is charged with 2nd degree murder, after allegedly shooting and killing a well-known DJ in Tampa. Dedrick Sykes, known as DJ Shy Guy, was shot and killed in the incident.

The incident happened around 12:10 a.m. Wednesday in the Robilina Road area of Port Richey when three men approached another man and woman who were walking outside. The three men shot the other man, injuring him, according to a news alert. Deputies said the suspects left before they arrived, but officials were able to find and arrest all of them.
