After a disappointing three-game homestand, Rutgers women’s basketball headed west to take on the USC Trojans in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. It was a strong start for the Scarlet Knights, who answered early buckets from the Trojans by building an 11-5 lead late in the quarter despite Nene Ndiaye being unavailable.
The USC Trojans are 11-9 this season and are on the outside looking in when it comes to the NCAA Tournament. Despite their record and the absence of star guard JuJu Watkins, USC is among the highest rated teams on TV.
