The Chicago Cubs have acquired Andrew Kittredge in a late Wednesday night trade with the Baltimore Orioles. Chicago, looking to beef up their bullpen, as they currently trade in the National League Central by a single game to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cubs finished the series strong on Wednesday, winning the series finale.

The Orioles have made their fifth deal ahead of the MLB trade deadline, sending reliever Andrew Kittredge to the Chicago Cubs.

Andy McCullough of The Athletic (subscription required) recently gave the Cubs a solid grade of a ‘B’ for their addition of relief pitcher Andrew Kittredge to the bullpen. He noted the team's relief ERA (3.90) sitting middle of the pack at 15 out of 30 teams, but their 1.0 fWAR being 25th of 30.
