A woman was taken to a hospital Sunday night after a scorpion stung her at Boston Logan International Airport. Boston Emergency Medical Services took the woman to an area hospital by ambulance just before 7 p.m., they said in a statement to NBC News. It's not clear what kind of scorpion stung the woman or what condition she was in.

Massachusetts State Police said a 40-year-old woman retrieving her luggage at Boston Logan International Airport was stung by a scorpion on Sunday night.

“At approximately 7:30 p.m., a 40-year-old female was stung by a scorpion while retrieving luggage in the baggage claim area of customs,” police said in a statement. “The female party was transported to an area hospital for treatment.”
