Atlanta Hawks forward Onyeka Okongwu has some serious dental work in his future after taking a Jaylen Brown elbow to the face during Wednesday's 117-106 win over the Boston Celtics. Brown, who was trying to clear space for himself on a spin near the basket, was given a flagrant foul for the elbow.
"I feel like he takes a lot of things personally," said former teammate Jrue Holiday.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 102-94 on Monday night at TD Garden.The win was significant for Boston, but the game carried extra meaning for Jaylen Brown. He faced two former teammates for the first time since they left the organization.
Celtics star Jaylen Brown takes things personally, but not because he lacks thick skin. He simply loves to fuel his competitive fire.
"It reflects outside of the city even more, because that becomes the perception of Boston. Because when people start to use words like racism, most people think it's like a color dynamic, but it's a power dynamic more than anything," Brown said before going into more detail.
