It’s probably not getting noticed as the Sixers continue to lose games, but Kelly Oubre, Jr. has been available and plays hard for Philly on a nightly basis.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. discusses his health after a road loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
White knew part of the reason why: he had been pushing off going to the dentist’s office. After the Celtics blew out the 76ers, the starting guard explained what exactly went down that necessitated him leaving the game briefly.
Here are three bold predictions for Oubre in the coming season:
Kelly Oubre Jr. led the way for the Sixers with 27 points, while Justin Edwards 14 in his return from a sprained ankle. Tyrese Maxey and Paul George both missed Thursday's game with ailments.
Jayson Tatum had 35 points and seven rebounds and the Boston Celtics powered past the Philadelphia 76ers 123-105 on Thursday night. It was Tatum’s 24th game this season with at least 30 points even though he sat out the entire fourth quarter as Boston won for the ninth time in its last 11 games.
However, with all of the pieces missing for Philadelphia, it was too much to overcome. The Celtics never trailed and led by as many as 30 as they handed the Sixers a 123-105 loss. Jayson Tatum had 35 points and seven rebounds for Boston on the night.
Not only did Oubre’s hot shooting continue, but Walker and Edwards continued to find the basket as the Sixers shot 63% from the quarter and 50% from three, allowing them to cut the lead to 10. Boston was able to reverse that momentum in seconds, going right back up by 18 after three.
