Celtics guard Jrue Holiday on Sunday missed his second consecutive game due to an injury to his right pinky, and the timeline for his return remains unclear. Holiday said he suffered the “mallet finger” injury—caused by damage to the tendon that straightens the finger—when he jammed it while going for a rebound.
“I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t really hear of the term mallet finger until people were telling me I had mallet finger,” Holiday said before the Celtics hosted the Denver Nuggetts at TD Garden. “They just told me that I broke my finger.”
