Matt Roy and Tom Wilson also scored, and Logan Thompson made 31 saves for the Capitals (32-10-5), who have won five in a row and earned points in 11 straight games (8-0-3).

The Washington Capitals didn't play their best hockey to kick off their road trip against the Edmonton Oilers, but as they've been doing all season, they found a way to get the job done. Logan Thompson shined again between the pipes — and picked up an assist to boot — and Pierre-Luc Dubois stayed hot en route to a 3-2 victory over the Oilers.
