Royals call up John Rave - MSN
The Royals announced they have called up outfielder John Rave and optioned Cavan Biggio to Triple-A Omaha. Rave was hitting .301/.382/.549 with 9 home runs and 17 stolen bases in 44 games at Omaha.
CHICAGO -- Salvador Perez homered twice and drove in four runs, Jac Caglianone and John Rave added solo shots and the Kansas City Royals beat the Chicago Cubs 12-4 on Monday night.
Rave had homered there a decade earlier, shortly after being selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 2016 MLB Draft. His father, Mike, had won a trip to Wrigley with John and his brother, Matt.
John Rave homered playing in place of the ailing Vinnie Pasquantino and the Kansas City Royals beat Chicago White Sox 6-2 on Saturday night to move above .500 for the first time since June 10. Pasquantino left after the first inning because of heat-related illness.
