PHILADELPHIA - The Phillies broke out promotion of the 2026 All-Star Game in Philadelphia on Friday - the first contest after the 2025 event in Atlanta ended with Kyle Schwarber’s three home runs in a gimmicky swing-off gave the National League the victory.

After winning the World Series in 2008, and getting back to there the next season, former Phillies GM Ruben Amaro traded for Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Hunter Pence and signed Cliff Lee as a free agent to go along with a star-studded lineup.

Kyle Schwarber's week just keeps getting better. After smashing three straight long balls in the All-Star Game Swing-Off and winning game MVP in the process, Schwarber came out of the break Friday night and immediately clubbed his 31st home run of the season.

The Philadelphia Phillies have some key decisions to make this offseason, but perhaps none bigger than the choice they face with Kyle Schwarber.

On Saturday night, with one swing of the bat, Kyle Schwarber put the Phillies on top of the Angels in an eventual win.
