Malcolm-Jamal Warner, an actor and artist who rose to fame as a child as Theodore Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” has died, according to a source close to the actor.

Actor and director Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his role on "The Cosby Show," has died in an accidental drowning in Costa Rica, officials there said. He was 54.

Warner, who played son Theodore “Theo” Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” drowned in Costa Rica on Sunday at the age of 54.
