Australia lashes Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu after he said the country’s prime minister was weak, with top officials firing back at the Israeli premier who’s leading the genocidal war on Gaza for nearly two years.

Australia and Israel have taken diplomatic efforts against each other as tensions between the two nations over the war in Gaza grow.

The remarks came after Australia barred far-right Israeli politician Simcha Rothman, a member of Netanyahu’s coalition, from entering the country.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has launched a stinging attack on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. In a social media post, the Australian Prime Minister has been labelled “weak” and a “betrayer” as tensions between Australia and Israel escalate.

Netanyahu said in the letter that he recommended the Australian leader to follow in the footsteps of US President Donald Trump to combat antisemitism and to "replace weakness with action.
