Rapper Kid Cudi, aka Scott Mescudi, has been pursuing an acting career for the last 10 years or so, and pops up in all kinds of movies these days. That includes Happy Gilmore 2, where he appears in the very last scene as an FBI agent who arrests Ben Stiller’s character, Hal L., for abusive his Alcoholics Anonymous program.
In addition to the special nod to Boyce, Happy Gilmore 2 featured cameos by Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, Eminem, Post Malone, Guy Fieri, and even Jeopardy host Ken Jennings. Happy Gilmore 2 is filled with celebrity cameos, but one is so subtle that many fans may have missed it. Turns out, it was the most poignant nod of all.
After much anticipation and a 29-year wait, Adam Sandler returned as the hot-tempered, big-hitting golf legend in “Happy Gilmore 2,” released on Netflix on Friday. As expected, the film was chock-full of cameos, many of them by real-life golfers and several of them with strong ties to the D-FW area.
When asked about whether there had been discussions about making Happy Gilmore 3, director Kyle Newacheck wasn’t very enthusiastic. “I don’t know,” Newacheck told The Direct, when asked in an interview he had ideas for a third film.
