The first post-launch Nintendo Switch 2 game annoucement has just happened and it’s a spin-off for Splatoon, with a major new update for Splatoon 3 out this week.

So much so, in fact, that the series' first spinoff, Splatoon Raiders, was just announced today. It's on the way in addition to a free Splatoon 3 content update for Switch 2 owners as well. Nintendo will host a Direct presentation on June 18 to showcase Donkey Kong Bananza, a new game for the Nintendo Switch 2 launching July 17. The 15-minute event will focus on gameplay and features environmental destruction and puzzle-solving elements.
