Dozens take part in ‘Polar Plunge’ to benefit Special Olympics
Dozens of people took part in the “Polar Plunge” at Alameda’s Crown Beach on Saturday to benefit the Special Olympics. KRON4 Meteorologist Kyla Grogan was on-hand to take part and to emcee the festive event.

Law enforcement officials were among those making a splash on Saturday at the annual Polar Plunge event. Dozens of people braved the cold weather at Crown Beach in Alameda. The event raises money for the Northern California Special Olympics.
