As facial injuries continue to plague the Stars ’ roster this season, top-line center Roope Hintz is the latest victim. After taking a puck to the face at the 10:45 mark of the second period of Saturday night’s game against Edmonton, Hintz left the game and did not return. He was taken to the hospital and ruled out for Sunday’s game in Vancouver.

Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz was hit with a puck shot by Edmonton's Adam Henrique and left the ice with a towel pressed against his bloody face. Hintz extended his stick toward Henrique, whose wrist shot sent the puck under his visor.

The centre was ruled out of Sunday’s contest against the Vancouver Canucks after he took a puck to the face in a loss to the Edmonton Oilers the day before.
