The president is visiting the country to meet with Scottish leaders and celebrate the opening of a golf course at Trump International Golf Links, which is near Scotland’s coastal city of Aberdeen.

The appearance comes the day after it was reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi told President Trump his name appeared in the Epstein files.

DOJ leaders are facing criticism and resignation calls from one-time supporters after they ended their inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking case without releasing new files.

Trump knew Epstein socially in the 1990s and early 2000s. During the 2021 trial of Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell, the financier's longtime pilot, Lawrence Visoski, testified that Trump flew on Epstein's private plane multiple times. Trump has denied ever being on the plane and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
