Bryan Mbeumo has backed one star as the perfect striker for United. But will the club make the final move before the window closes?

Mbeumo arrives at Old Trafford off the back of a career year at Brentford that saw him score 20 Premier League goals and provide eight assists in 2024–25. It prompted a £71 million ($100.1 million) transfer and the expectation that the Cameroon international will make a substantial impact.

Amorim will hope he can bring the buccaneer spirit he showed at Brentford to United. “We had in our heads that we could win every game,” Mbeumo says. “So we just try to not be scared of the names in their team and then we just try to play.” The only time Mbeumo does get nervous is when playing the piano, his other cerebral hobby.
