A Greensboro police officer will be laid to rest today, just over two weeks after he was killed in the line of duty. Officer Michael Horan’s funeral will be held at Westover Church in Greensboro, with the service starting at 2 p.

"Rest easy, my friend. We have the watch from here," U.S. Coast Guard Senior Chief Dustin Daniels said during the memorial.

On Thursday, he Will be laid to rest 17 days after he was killed in the line of duty at a Greensboro grocery store.
