Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell was an image of misery when he talked to reporters after losing to the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of their second-round series, 114-105, on Tuesday. The top-seeded Cavaliers got eliminated by the fourth-seeded Pacers, ending what had been their best campaign in recent years.
The Cavaliers are in a fairly good position heading into the 2025 offseason. 11 players are set to be under contract, including Garland, Mobley, Jarrett Allen and Mitchell—who agreed to a three-year, $150.3 million extension last offseason.

Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle put it best in summing up his team’s finishing punch in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. “The winning team writes the script,” he said. The Pacers’ 114-105 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 on Tuesday night was similar to the first two games of the series.
Indiana took out the No. 1 seed Cavs in five games as they ended the series on Tuesday, 4-1. They will now await the winner of the series between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks to determine their opponents for the Eastern Finals.
Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is also an avid Pacers fan and shared her excitement via talk radio after the team's most recent win.
"It was just one of those nights where you literally could not miss," Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark said during a postgame interview with Pacers radio host Eddie White (h/t Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files).
