The Detroit Tigers currently own the best record in Major League Baseball at the All-Star break. They also have a 12-game lead in the American League Central. With the trade deadline fast approaching, it's safe to assume that the Tigers will be adding pieces in the coming weeks as opposed to when they were sellers at the 2024 trade deadline.
Day 1 of the 2025 Draft included the Tigers' picks from Rounds 1-3, including Jordan Yost at No. 24 overall. Day 2 begins Monday at 11:30 a.m. ET through the conclusion of the Draft, spanning Rounds 4-20.
With Yost and Michael Oliveto, the Tigers selected under-the-radar left-handed hitters with their first picks in Sunday's MLB Draft.
The Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees both need to add a third baseman. They could find themselves in a bidding war for the same trade target.
