Magic. Music. Masks. I read Cesaria Feels the Beat while a live string quartet played music inspired by Cesária Évora—and let me tell you, the room vibrated with joy. Kids danced, signed in ASL, wore Carnival masks, and asked the most thoughtful questions. The string ensemble filled the space with rhythm and warmth. I felt every beat—and so did the children.
