Construction on the new roundabout at SR 20 just north of Oak Harbor kicked off Thursday with excavation of the highway. SR 20 will be down to one lane around the clock for the next few weeks while contractor crews build the roundabout one half at a time. Flaggers are alternating traffic, so if you travel between Anacortes and Oak Harbor, prepare for delays and budget plenty of extra time into your trip. The roundabout is scheduled to open to traffic before July 4. More information is available
