I’ve been getting some more training this week from Steve Schurman Milltronics USA, Inc. We’ve been working on the ML16 Cnc lathe and designing and machining two small pinion shafts. Both shafts are nearly identical in size and all metric. One will have a spur gear and the other a helical gear. I’ve been working diligently to practice how to dial in the tools to the exact size I’m shooting for. After some practice runs I’ve been able to get the journals repeatable to within .0002”.
