The reports are making out that midwives are the problem and I’m not saying that some midwives need to be supported to do better but it’s absolute nonsense that this is what the main issue is. Over the last 10 to 20 years, “the normal birth ideology” has been culled and midwives have slowly become obstetric nurses!
